Canada passed MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) in 2016 with the idea that it would be limited to ONLY adults with terminal illnesses. Less than a decade later, they have expanded it to depression, mental illness, PTSD, and now they are looking at applying it to children. These other ailments may be bad, but they are NOT terminal (at least not in the short term). Tellingly, reports state that MAID saved the Canadian government almost $150 million in health care costs in 2025. Because killing your patients is MUCH less expensive than taking care of them, right? What happens when The State goes broke & decides that most of the patients are too costly to care for? Maine already has a version of this, but we MUST keep it out of US Federal policy:

And NYC just passed the C.O.P.A. law, which makes it ILLEGAL to put your building up for sale until you have notified the city (and it’s selected non-profits) that you plan to sell. They then have a 6 month window to make an offer, and you cannot even put the building on the market during the 6 months. So the city (or it’s selected non-profits) delayed the sale for up to 6 months to make you sell your building to them BEFORE it even goes on the market! This is the perfect way to make privately owned buildings impossible to sell (except to the city, of course, which accomplishes the whole goal of taking them out of “private” hands & putting them into State control):
