So begins a “Part Deux” of the Nashua Ruling Class v. Paula Johnson, which I will give readers a quick refresher on in hopes of recruiting some volunteer posse members for Paula. Ward 5 Alderman-elect Paula Johnson was in a 4-way race for an open seat, beating the next highest scoring candidate by 25 votes, but Paula is no ordinary public servant, so some local highlights are in order. I’m not here to publish a political resume for Paula, but give a brief explanation why the mayor and his ilk do NOT want her in that seat. Let’s note a few items of interest in reverse chronological order, shall we?
Paula sued the City in December 2023 and lost, thanks to Judge English, a Dem appointed by the Damn Emperor. The reasons for the suit come from a 11/18/23 recount that flipped her school board reelection to the highest scoring loser, Shewanda Daniels Williams(SDW), now also known as “Mrs Alderman Lopez.” Unlike Manchester and other cities, all school board members are elected by all voters, so a school recount produced the 14 necessary “emergency Democrat votes” from the whole city rather than just Ward 5, which will be what gets recounted at 9am this Saturday. The NTU was not satisfied with the next 2 years of the other 8 members of the BoE steamrolling a lone dissenter, they wanted 100% blue purity just like they got in the “Legislature from Hell”(27 reps and 2 senators in Shurtleff’s House and Donna Soucy’s senate) following the 2018 state election and “BoA from Hell” following the city’s 2019 election.

Let’s talk about 2019 for a moment as it relates to Paula. There were 5 school seats up for election that year and the mayor had no opponent. Paula was on a non-NTU slate that was dubbed “The Evil 5” by the enemy camp. Incumbents Howard Coffman and Grokster Doris were ELECTIONEERED out of their seats and the Gordon MacDonald administration dismissed Doris’s complaint after sitting on it for 11 months. Other losing members of that slate were Grokster Burton Janz and Greg Surbey(1983-2021), whose death was not given a proper investigation and follow-up report. Paula was the only winner, and there’s something interesting about those results that the enemy camp doesn’t want people to remember or discuss. Paula beat Ms Scales, a black Dem, who I later learned is the daughter of Lemonade Linda Harriott Gathright, the Ward 9 alderman until being unseated in 2021. How dare those voters lawfully elect Paula over her!
Just close your eyes and picture Greta, who said her famous words a little over a month earlier. Paula was the lone dissenter of Mask Madness, and Chair Heather Raymond(now a member of House Children and Family Law) called the police on her and cried “domestic terrorism” on national TV. I could go on about Paula, who previously served as an alderman and as a rep, but you get the picture, and I’ll now call attention to her pit bull soapbox antics. She has lashed out at Jeb(for taking Pfizer money), also, so you can’t call her vitriol against bad actors “partisan.” It’s clear that the ruling class of city hall does NOT want such a thorn in its side, and I’m convinced that Buckley recruited loser Justin Gerstenfield to request the recount. A Ward 5 voter that I’ll call “DL” pointed out that Gerstenfield is new to the political scene, and it’s highly unlikely that he makes such decisions on his own accord.
Buckley was present for Paula’s last recount, as was Scanlan’s 2022 opponent, Ms Melanie Levesque. They can be seen in the all-day raw footage from a rotation of multiple camera angles. Note that I said “all day” as the whole city was being recounted. I want to emphasize that it’s only Ward 5 that’s being recounted in the ruling class’s attempt to block the will of the people and prevent Paula Johnson from taking her seat. That means only 1/9 of the city is being recounted in such efforts(against Paula) and therefore should take only 1/9 of the time spent on 11/18/23. However, there will be another recount of presumably equal manpower and time following Ward 5, and that’s Ward 6. Alderman Chris Thibodeau, who lost a rematch against his 2023 opponent by a slim margin, was within his rights to request one.
Chris is the founder of a weekly Sunday morning Library Hill flag wave, a 2022 rep candidate, and the JBS chapter chair for Nashua. Chris is a big critic of the NRPC and blind acceptance of federal funds. It’s important to make every lawful effort to keep Chris in his seat before conceding to someone who campaigned on chicken and eggs as her perceived most important Ward 6 issue. Read that again because the receipts are available if you care to watch the closing remarks at the candidate forum a few weeks before the election. If you attend for Paula, please stay for Chris.
Unlike structured recounts at the archives, presided over by Scanlan and with equipment and lots of observers, Nashua city recounts are like the wild west, as I explained to Senator Gray, the Election Law chair, in an email. As can be seen in the hours of insufferable footage of Paula’s 11/18/23 recount, the NTU and all its useful idiots on speed dial will come out in droves. Please consider joining Team Paula and Team Chris this Saturday. If you, the reader, happen to be a rep, it might give you inspiration for some 2026 LSRs or an amendment that reforms how local recounts are conducted. You’ll get the “local control” sad refrain talking points, but you can start preparing the rebuttals to them. And I will finish with a final thought and request. If you go to the recount(s) and see Ms Melanie, please ask her what office she will run for in 2026, especially if Buckley is right there to witness the question and answer.
