The Morning Mail – March 11th, 2023

In a strange twist of fate (or is it), today is both National COVID-19 day and National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day. A coincidence? I think not!

March 11th is also World Plumbing Day, Worship Tools Day, and National Promposal Day. You can also celebrate Geneology, Debunking, Oatmeal Nut Waffles, Johnny Appleseed, or urban ballroom dancing.

Ismail, I was crowned Shah of Persia in 1502. IN 1985 Mikhail Gorbachev replaced Konstantin Chernenko as Soviet leader (and we all know how that worked out). On March 11, 2011, “a 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck 130 km (80 miles) east of Sendai, Japan, triggering a tsunami killing thousands of people causing the second worst nuclear accident in history at Fukushima nuclear plant.”

IN 2018 China’s National People’s Congress removed term limits for a leader allowing Xi Jinping to be dictator president for life. And two years later, on this day in 2020, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the WHO declared the Wuhan Flu a pandemic.
