Today is January 23rd, 2023, international dog biscuit appreciation day. A celebration of the treats your dogs eat. Toast, banana bread, diesel engines, digital learning, and chili also get a Day today!

Chili day does sound good – I make decent chili (IMO). And every day at my house, dog biscuits go to “The Lab” for testing.

In history, Johannes Gutenberg is credited with printing his first Bible on this day in 1455In 1836 General Santa Anna began his siege of the Alamo, which ended thirteen days later. US Marines raised the American flag atop Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima, in 1945. The 1st mass inoculation against Polio with the Jonas Salk vaccine occurred at Arsenal Elementary School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1954. And in 1998, Osama bin Laden published a fatwa declaring jihad against all Jews and Crusaders.

And Granite Grok shares some of the links received that I didn’t have the time or space to get to since the last Morning Mail.
