Presented as received. Michael Yakubovish has apparently taken ill and will be unable to receive treatment and campaign, so Keith Murphy has stepped up to run in his stead.

Michael’s letter and a letter from Steve Stepanek are included below as delivered to me.

Michael’s energy and focus will be missed after such a hard-fought, and well-earned primary win, and our prayers are with him andhis family at this challenging moment in his life.

Dear friends,

Thanks to your support, we achieved a massive victory on Primary Day. Our campaign was so strong that we won every single town and ward in the district.

Now I have to share some personal news with you. As we approached Election Day, I began to get very sick, and my doctors were initially unable to determine why. After undergoing a battery of tests, I received an unexpected diagnosis and immediately began aggressive treatment.

While my family and I are hopeful for my recovery, these treatments have temporarily incapacitated me, and I am unable to continue with my campaign.

After much consideration, my campaign and the state Republican party have together decided that Hon. Keith Murphy of Manchester is best suited to replace me on the ballot in November.

Keith was a champion of liberty during his four terms in the State House. As a father and a small business owner, Keith knows first-hand the struggles facing Granite State families and businesses.

I want you to know that Keith has my full support, and I hope that he will have yours, as well. Please visit KeithMurphy4NH.com to learn more about Keith and how you can help his campaign.

I appreciate your prayers for my recovery. I remain dedicated to the cause of liberty and will continue to do everything in my power to advance our shared ideals.

Thank you,

Michael Yakubovich

Concord, NH -Statement from Chairman Stephen Stepanek on Michael Yakubovich and the State Senate seat.

“My thoughts are with Michael Yakubovich and his family during this very hard time and I pray, along with the rest of our Republican team, for him to have a quick recovery.

Michael needs to focus on his health and his family right now and therefore will no longer be a candidate for State Senate.

Instead, I have suggested Keith Murphy to run in Michael’s place and he energetically accepted saying, ‘I am honored that I’ve been asked to replace Michael on the ballot for State Senate in November. My thoughts are with Michael and his family in this difficult time, and I pray for his quick recovery.

Michael knows that as a father and small business owner, I share his priorities for New Hampshire’s citizens: lowering heat and energy costs, delivering high quality services to Granite Staters, and fighting to keep our state government small, affordable and effective.

I promise to work hard for every vote, if elected, to represent the district with integrity and enthusiasm.’

Senator Jeb Bradley and Senator Chuck Morse also shared with me their support of their colleague Michael Yakubovich, ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Representative Yakubovich for a complete recovery. We appreciate the extremely difficult situation he is facing after having won the Primary last week and wish him the best.’

I know Keith will proudly represent Granite Staters and Michael alike. Like Michael, Keith is concerned with the direction in which our state and country is headed. Having served four terms in the State House, Keith understands the continuous needs of Granite Staters; skyrocketing inflation, soaring energy costs, crushing business taxes and many more. Keith Murphy will be a great asset to our Republican team in November and I know he will make Michael and his family very proud.”
