Utah Gov. Vetoes Bill Banning Bio-Boyz in Girlz Sports – Legislature Overrides Veto!

Extending protection to girls and women in sports is a hot ticket these days, especially with poster children like Lia Thomas making the need obvious. A 400+ ranked men’s collegiate swimmer is the #1 women’s collegiate swimmer. Do you know what that means?

It means there are at least another 400+ men who could probably claim to be women and take away his crown.

And what of the actual women? A vocal majority on the Left doesn’t give a rat’s ass about that or them. But they are outraged (it doesn’t take much) that Utah passed legislation that would prohibit penises from competing as vaginas and then outraged again when that veto was overridden.

Girls and women competing in school athletic programs got a huge win.

The bill, H.B. 11, “imposes limits on participation in female sports by requiring schools and local education agencies to designate athletic activities by sex” and “prohibiting a student of the male sex from competing against another school on a team designated for female students.”

The law defines “sex” as “the biological, physical condition of being male or female, determined by an individuals [sic] genetics and anatomy at birth.”

It’s very Title IX of them, but why did the Governor balk the first time? As written, the Governor was concerned about the fiscal exposure from lawsuits. Oh, and he says only four transgender kids play sports, and only one biological boy is playing as a girl statewide. And none of them are dominating their sports.

No harm, no foul is how that veto message reads. So, where’s the red line, Governor? How many girls need to lose matches to biological boys? Is there some number of college scouts who need to be discouraged or scholarships lost before you’d have signed off?

You don’t abolish laws against theft simply because no one stole anything, but allowing a guy who can barely compete at the boys/men’s level to own the girl’s level is theft.

They are robbed of the benefit of their investment in time and training. Their parents are robbed of countless hours of sleep and the cost of training and travel. Girls who see this new world order never take up sports because what’s the point – so they are robbed of those benefits.

They are denied everything Title IX was created to protect.

Trans do have the right to free speech, self-defense, redress, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – all of that – but not at the expense of other’s similar rights.

Biologically, males and females are very different. Pretending this is not so does not make it true. And thanks to Lia Thomas, millions of people trying desperately not to pay attention or care can’t help but notice just how unfair that is, and states like Utah are moving to protect girls and women before the so-called party of women erases them.
