Local Father-Daughter Dance Canceled for Not Being Inclusive Enough

A local parent-teacher organization (PTO) has canceled their traditional father-daughter and daughter-son dances. The events were targeted by at least one local who claims they are not inclusive enough, and the PTO caved.

It sounds like they have been doing these for years without as much as a peep out of anyone. But here comes Becky, out of left field, to take the whole thing down.

The Lincoln Akerman School PTO has received concerns regarding the lack of gender inclusivity surrounding the “Guys & Dolls” and “Ladies & Lads” events at our school. These long standing events at LAS have traditionally been separated by gender, but with the asterisk that anyone is welcome. The question was posed about renaming the “Guys & Dolls” Dance and opening it to the entire school population, but that would pose a substantial COVID risk to the entire school.

Nice work, Becky. Instead of asking to plan an additional dance that meets your social-justice (they/them?) needs, you single-handedly ruined the fun for hundreds of moms, dads, daughters, and sons.

The PTO will look to plan a COVID-safe, combined event for the entire school to enjoy together this Spring. Anyone interested in helping volunteer for this newly proposed combined idea should reach out to a PTO Officer or attend the next PTO Meeting on Wednesday, February 16, at 7:00 pm on GoogleMeet.

Good luck with that because the real issue isn’t COVID-safe and inclusive events. It is the creeping tyranny of getting permission to do what you want from left-leaning depots and their mobs.

Every time you acquiesce (surrender might be a better word), you enable and encourage them. And while many in that “activist” class are not aware of their role, or the threat, that does not change the goals or the response.

Just say no.

I’ve received stories of parents who lost their minds over this crap in grade school classes. One mom insisted on her child not being gendered with he-she-him-her. She also had a problem with Thanksgiving, if I recall. The teacher said, no, we don’t do that here. We’re not turning our entire classroom, the students, and the parents, upside down to accommodate you and one child. The parent tried to persist but ultimately, and this rare, no one would budge.

She moved out of the district. True story.

So, just say no. Do not give your consent. There are not hundreds of parents in the shadows waiting to back these people up; quite the opposite.

And no one is stopping you from planning or funding a third event (The they/them dance). Gather support, and then knock yourself out, and maybe someone will show up. And there appears to be some interest in this approach.

Some are considering non-PTO sponsored father-daughter and mother-son dances.

That needs to happen, not just for father-daughter and mother-son dances but for the public education itself.

Parent-Teacher organizations can do a lot more than they think. It’s parents and teachers. Out in Arizona, one such group started its own school to get their kids (and the parents) away from the systemic leftism of modern public education and the left-wing culture it seeks to inculcate into the minds of the young.

You can do it, people will help.
