CRT – Belief in Creationism is ‘White Supremacy’ – Stack of Stuff Part 18

Critical Race Theory Equity All People are Racist

Sheesh, Skip – get focused, willya? You’re not posting enough of this stuff – it’s coming in over the transom faster than you’re getting it out to our readers. C’mon man – get on the stick!

There, I have done what the UN does when things go sideways (e.g., admonishment via “STERN” letter), let’s get going.

So item #1 to be popped off my stack of over 300 things to let you know: if you’re a Christian person of faith like I am, congratulations – you’re a RACIST!

As always, snippets have been reformatted and emphasis is mine:

Now Belief in Creationism Is ‘White Supremacy.’ News Flash: We Won’t Bow to Your Secular Idols

In a silly non-scientific op-ed at Scientific American, Allison Hopper declares that “denial of evolution” is a form of “white supremacy.” No, it’s not a satire piece. It’s a bigoted anti-Christian rant masquerading as a science op-ed. In it, Hopper, whose bio says she’s a “filmmaker and designer,” claims that “evolution denial” perpetuates violence against black people:

I want to unmask the lie that evolution denial is about religion and recognize that at its core, it is a form of white supremacy that perpetuates segregation and violence against Black bodies. Under the guise of “religious freedom,” the legalistic wing of creationists loudly insists that their point of view deserves equal time in the classroom. Science education in the U.S. is constantly on the defensive against antievolution activists who want biblical stories to be taught as fact. In fact, the first wave of legal fights against evolution was supported by the Klan in the 1920s. Ever since then, entrenched racism and the ban on teaching evolution in the schools have gone hand in hand. In his piece, What We Get Wrong About the Evolution Debate, Adam Shapiro argues that “the history of American controversies over evolution has long been entangled with the history of American educational racism.”

The biblical view of creation—that God created the Earth, including man, out of nothing (ex nihilo) in six days—wasn’t invented in the 1920s when secularists were forced to go “on the defensive” against religious activists. It was the secularists, in fact, who went on the attack, portraying orthodox Christians as anti-science backwoods yahoos and bullying school districts and book publishers into removing all references to religion—not just creationism—from public schools. The anti-God mob has been on offense in this fight from Day 1. Hopper’s assertion that “rejection of evolution” (by that she means macroevolution, rather than microevolution, which Christians do not reject) is overtly racist doesn’t pass the smell test.

And after being called Racists simply for following the recountings in Genesis, we have this Black person being racist and wanting everyone that doesn’t believe in Critical Race Theory to die. Yep, you read that right. Michelle Leete, if you don’t agree with her, wants you dead. Kinda of a hard debate to have, eh? Drop dead after your first sentence in rebuttal:

That was the message sent Thursday by an official of both the Virginia Parent Teacher Association and the state NAACP to a group of critical race theory supporters. Here’s what Michelle Leete, vice president of communications for the Virginia state PTA and first vice president of the Fairfax County NAACP, yelled out to a crowd of critical race theory supporters:

Let’s meet and remain steadfast in speaking truth, tearing down double standards, and refuting double talk. Let’s not allow any double-downing on lies. Let’s prepare our children for a world they deserve.

Let’s deny this off-key band of people that are anti-education, anti-teacher, anti-equity, anti-history, anti-racial reckoning, anti-opportunities, anti-help people, anti-diversity, anti-platform, anti-science, anti-change agent, anti-social justice, anti-health care, anti-worker, anti-LGBTQ+, anti-children, anti-health care, anti-worker, anti-environment, anti-admissions-policy change, anti-inclusion, anti-live-and-let-live people.

Let them die. [Emphasis mine] Don’t let these uncomfortable people deter us from our bold march forward.

The reaction of defenders of critical race theory: The nerve of those people! Don’t they know that the only people allowed to direct the education of children are social justice activists? The forward march of history apparently means stomping on those who oppose it.

Yes, let’s see more of this happening if it is Leftist Administrators that are in charge of this? Certainly from what I have seen here in NH, it is the Superintendents that are leading the indoctrination circuses in our schools – and are not having an easy time with parents:

File this report under “good news if true.” According to NBC News, opposition to attempts to impose left-wing race-oriented propaganda in America’s schools is taking a toll on those who are trying to impose it. NBC leads its story with the case of Rydell Harrison, the superintendent of the Easton-Redding-Region 9 School Districts in Connecticut. He resigned after coming under fire from parents opposed to CRT…After the January 6 riot at the Capitol, Harrison accused Trump supporters, through their “words, silence, actions or inactions, of being complicit in the rioting” and of “pav[ing] the way for Confederate flags to be waved in our nation’s capitol.”…Among the “offenses” Harrison cited as making Trump supporters “co-conspirators who sided with domestic terrorism” were “jump[ing] on board with [Trump’s] sleepy Joe narrative” and “countering [BLM] with All Lives Matter.”

…In Southlake, Texas, at least four administrators who were instrumental in crafting or implementing a plan combat racial and cultural discrimination in the Carroll Independent School District left the district this spring following a community backlash to diversity and inclusion efforts…NBC also reports on backlash against teachers who try to indoctrinate their students. One teacher reportedly is facing termination for assigning an essay on Donald Trump by far-left race hustler Ta-Nehisi Coates and for showing a video of a poetry reading about white privilege that included curse words. The district says the teacher did not present opposing viewpoints…Another teacher reportedly was removed from her duties for displaying a Black Lives Matter banner in her classroom.

This next one is personal – I am suing the Gilford (NH) School Board over this policy (and over a couple of others).  They codified, in the NH School Board Association spawned Policy enumerated as JBAB (and if you live in NH and your School District has adopted it as well, TELL ME!!) that codifies this lying to Parents by commission and omission:

Parents and teachers have been passionately battling the incursion of Critical Race Theory Curriculum and new transgender policies that usurp both science and parental rights. The most recent attempt to make an end-run around parents comes in the form of a chilling new policy that would not only allow biological boys to use girls’ restrooms and locker rooms, it encourages teachers to withhold any discoveries of gender dysphoria among their students from parents.  Language in the new policy is specific about pointing out to teachers that they are under no obligation to communicate gender dysphoria issues to parents, even as teachers are required to adopt “preferred pronouns” of children as young as kindergarten age.

Loudoun County VA staff dont have to tell parents kids went trans

How DARE mere employees believe they have the right to do this? It’s to the point that we can only believe that they all think Parents are EVIL and don’t love their kids.

And because of all this, of teachers and “professional staff” trying to peel off our kids from us, I think this is a JOLLY great thing to do – if they want to sneak around us using their classrooms as “deep cover”, let’s rip off that shroud, shall we? H/T: Instapundit:

TIRED: Cameras on cops.

WIRED: Cameras in classrooms.

And teachers have to understand that these are OUR Children, not theirs. This is just one penalty for thinking they aren’t. More:

HuffPo compares it to 1984, but why are cameras on cops not Orwellian, while cameras in classrooms are? Oh, I think we know.

UPDATE:

Matt Walsh Twitter No privacy for teachers

UPDATE: From the comments: “School districts have been issuing students laptops that have cameras on them that can be turned on remotely by School District employees. If they think that it’s okay for them to observe what’s going on in my home, they can s t f u about me wanting to observe people who I’m paying working in a building that I’m paying for.”

The now-hilariously mis-named “Scientific American” claims those who deny evolution are white supremacists. No, I am not making that up. That’s what you get when you combine Critical Race Theory (CRT) with a crude caricature of the dominant explanation for human origins.

As The Federalist Kylee Zempel explains:

“If they can convince you not only that your Donald Trump-voting Christian neighbor is a racist but that the Bible itself is the epitome of white supremacy, they can ban it from polite society and ostracize anyone who would defend it. Critical race theory is good. Jesus is bad. Now cough up your hard-earned tax dollars so we can teach that to your kids.”

That’s it in a nutshell (no pun intended). Evolutionists of sound mind, common sense and a genuine commitment to real science should be flooding SA with protests.

That’s pretty much the crux of the problem – PAY US to turn your kids against you.  After all, like all good Socialists everywhere, we know what is best for you (and your kids) than you do.

Are you going to continue to put up with such condescension from your employees?  Really?  And if that isn’t bad enough, they are telling us that they are going after the youngest of our children – good and hard:

Several King County, Washington, activist teachers revealed to Crosscut how they inject race and “equity” lessons into their elementary classrooms. Kent teacher Joanne Barber took advantage of violent Black Lives Matter protests last year “to teach more about race” in her second grade class. “I am willing to be that teacher that has those hard conversations,” she said. “I would be doing a huge disservice to my students if I didn’t give them information that they could see themselves in.” She told Crosscut learning that “racial history” is “just as important as reading or math.” Barber teaches children 7- and 8-year-olds that slavery “led to institutional racism and implicit bias.” She also “weaves race and equity into every subject” and “every day in her class is filled with race education.”

Patricia Shelton, a curriculum developer in the Bellevue School District, told Crosscut, “In Bellevue, we have been working very hard in grades 5, 8 and 11 to de-center the traditional ‘white’ perspective and to center the voices of people of color.” Shelton’s colleague, equity specialist Shomari Jones, said he successfully removed works such as The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and To Kill a Mockingbird because they contained the N-word. “There were so many instances of students feeling further oppressed by being in a classroom space where these books were being read aloud,” he said. “[These] have continued the racial trauma and racial stamina necessary for a negatively impacted student to endure when attending school.”

Activist teachers and administrators have begun meeting resistance from parents who argue such “equity” education is leftist indoctrination.

Ya think??? People, it is time to start demanding that you get ALL of the curriculum that is being put in front of your kid. AND get that “camera in the classroom” action going as well. You want your kid to believe that they are either oppressors or victims for the rest of their lives simply because of the color of their skin???

And if you think that Administrators, unions, and teachers are going to back down, you’re naive. This points out the latest tactic – now that Critical Race Theory has been let out of Pandora’s Box, the Left is doing everything it can to say that they aren’t. They are wordsmithing, deflecting, and restating what it is they are doing to get the heat off them.

This is just another word game by the Left similar to

“Oh, we’re not Socialists, we’re Progressives. Oh, we burned that word out – now we’re Liberals! Crap, did it again – back to Liberals. Oh they caught on again – can we try DEMOCRATIC Socialists and see if we can get away with that? Futz, didn’t work – Democrats isn’t going to work anymore either. WHAT CAN WE CALL OURSELVES so that the rubes won’t catch on!!!!”

A sequel to John’s post last night about Randi Weingarten and the American Federation of Teachers preparing to go to war in court to defend their prerogative to teach CRT while simultaneously arguing that they’re not teaching CRT. You can imagine a virtuous motive for that position, such as if the union believed that state laws banning CRT in public schools might be interpreted to prevent lessons on slavery, segregation, and the civil-rights era.

But that’s not the motive. Weingarten’s playing a semantic game in which “Critical Race Theory” is defined narrowly to refer to a particular vein of legal scholarship, which naturally wouldn’t be covered in middle or high schools. But opponents of CRT mean something broader, a spectrum of “anti-racist” dogma that believes “whiteness” is evil, America is hopelessly “structurally racist,” and the only solutions to social problems are fringe-left ones. As John noted, the other major teachers union, the National Education Association, recently adopted this pro-CRT agenda item that captures the stakes nicely before quietly memory-holing it once it caught the attention of righties:

And make no mistake, the other side believes in this stuff so much, they will SUE YOU simply for trying to get information about CRT and the other stuff they are hiding even though it is perfectly legal and justifiable that you, as a Parent, demand what is being taught to your kids. This is nothing less than teachers bullying Parents…oh wait!

I thought teachers were teaching our kids to NOT BE BULLIES?????

The National Education Association, America’s largest teachers union, is suing a Rhode Island mom for seeking information about what her kindergartener will be taught in school.  Both the National Education Association Rhode Island and National Education Association South Kingstown, the union’s local branch, are suing Nicole Solas after she filed public record requests with the South Kingstown School District to learn what students are being taught regarding critical race theory.

“It appears … [the teachers union wants] a court to say I can’t get the public information that I’m requesting because it will somehow harm teachers,” Solas told The Daily Signal in a phone interview Thursday.  The complaint was filed with the Rhode Island Superior Court on Monday and a constable arrived at Solas’ home on Wednesday to deliver papers informing the mother of the lawsuit.

I hope it does harm teachers – as in getting them fired! And here is the perfect response:

“I just got served with a lawsuit from the teacher union, NEARI,” Solas wrote on Twitter. “Throwing down the gauntlet, are we? Game on.”

On Thursday, the union also filed for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against Solas. The legal action is intended to prohibit the South Kingstown school board from “responding to public record requests referenced in the Verified Complaint, unless and until a determination can be made that such documents are required to be released pursuant to the Access to Public Records Act,” the court filing reads.

“Today, the teacher union NEA filed ANOTHER lawsuit against me – this time a Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction,” Solas tweeted. “Will teacher unions bullying moms be an everyday thing now?”

And on that note, I need to go back to work on getting more information from my school district as they won’t “Follow The Law”. It is rather easy to do.
