Poll Question – Should Flag-Hating Millionaire Athlete Gwen Berry Be Kicked off the US Olympic Team?

Gwen Berry is offended by the National Anthem and the American flag. And that’s up to her, I suppose, but she is an elite millionaire,  American athlete who is still competing to represent that nation, anthem, and flag.

Berry looked away from the flag during the playing of the anthem after meddling (Medaling!) in the hammer throw, a bit hypocritical to me to de facto denounce a country that has helped you achieve this much success and prosperity.

The Missouri-Born athlete has achieved a measure of greatness here through hard work, perseverance, and determination. She is in a national competition to represent America on a world stage. And that stage and nation offend her?

Why not just defect, or something? Just GTFO?

You’re already an Olympic gold medalist. You are top-ten ranked globally. One of the best at your sport (at least until men pretending to be women take that from you). And that success had garnered you endorsement deals and sponsorships, and a lifestyle anyone in America can have, but few have the determination, drive, or the ability to delay gratification long enough to achieve.

You did, and good for you. I’m serious. We value hard work and success here; you have that.

And you have been rewarded. Your estimated net worth is somewhere between one and five million dollars. You could retire today and live comfortably for a very long time, just about anywhere you’d like, and should we assume that would be someplace other than in America?

That’s okay too, and so is this.
