Support for Defunding Police: Is it Helpful to Our Situation?

by

Is support for defunding police helpful to our situation? The “Unity Task Force” produced policy document calls for banning “racial profiling” in criminal apprehensions. The authors know big city police departments are predominantly made up of minorities. But these, racial profiling etc…, are all concepts and code words.

This is the language of the Left/BLM/Islamist crowd. They are virtue signaling. They intend to strip police of the necessary tools to combat crime and protect the citizenry. The question is why? What is their goal? Who benefits? How do they benefit?

This policy document was produced by many of the people running Biden’s campaign today. Of course, Biden accepts this policy document. He has made it his own agenda in return for Leftist support. That’s a quid pro quo. The question is: Are the parties articulating publicly who gets what, if Biden wins?

The candidate is responsible for and is running on his policy positions

Biden said police funding should “absolutely” be redirected. How does this mean anything but a loss of funds? How is that anything but defunding the police? But Biden’s handlers and the “fact-check” groups are busy trying to spin this statement. They want you to believe the meaning is something else. But you are smarter than that.

Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, said about protests:

“Everyone beware. They’re not gonna stop before election day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after election day … They’re not gonna let up and they should not.”

How is that anything but a voice of support for violence in the street?

Sure, she made the statement before she was Biden’s running mate. But that’s all the more reason to believe this is her position. Given both she and Biden have in the last week referred to the ticket as “Harris-Biden” and the “Harris Administration” … Maybe we should listen to the future president. The statement certainly didn’t keep Biden from selecting her as his VP.

We should believe what the candidates tell us about their

More than a dozen Biden campaign staffers are contributors to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. The group bails out violent protesters. These are the people under arrest for assaults, destroying property and looting. Some are facing accusations of murder. Some have convictions as sex offenders. Kamala Harris urges people to contribute to this fund. There is a message here if we are willing to hear it. This is Democrat leadership.

Biden has spoken favorably about violent riots in the past. For example:

his Aug. 9 tweet, “It’s been six years since Michael Brown’s life was taken in Ferguson – reigniting a movement.”

Think about that tweet.

Brown was a thug. He was shoplifting. His shooting came after assaulting a policeman and reaching for a gun. The Obama DOJ exonerated the cop. The Brown incident was a justified police shooting. It is not as Biden claims. It was about a policeman following standard procedure… correctly.

Biden seems to believe a false Michael Brown narrative. It is something the anti-police movement is promoting. They assert the incident was all about race. That is provably false. They assert Brown was shot unjustifiably while holding up his hands up. That too is provably false.

Key staffers of both the Biden and Harris presidential campaigns have involvement with the Ford Foundation. The group has donated millions to groups seeking to “defund the police.” Is support for defunding police helpful to our situation? Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.
