Earl Metzler is Out of Timberlane, Leaves with Fat Check and He’s Off to Bilk Hampstead

The good news (bad news) is that Timberlane is rid of Superintendent Earl Metzler. They had to pay him to go away. Sadly, he did not go far. He will be “consulting” for Hampstead.

“Timberlane has been a very important part of my life for these past eight years and I will look back at my time here fondly,” Metzler said while concluding his letter. “I will remember the people I worked with, the relationships built, and our many collective accomplishments. I wish each one of you the very, very best at Timberlane and in life.”

Very important to his accumulated wealth. He fiscally raped that district, to which we can add the nepotistic consulting gig his wife had while he was in charge. Then there were the related lawsuits because he would not part with information that is public record.

Donna Green cataloged that madness here.

Metzler walked away with a 180,00.00 dollar parting gift, and his graft continues. He got his wife hired as a consultant in Hampstead alongside him. They will be setting up new administrative offices for Hampstead, the organizational and leadership structure, and the “transition of all SAU functions to the Hampstead School District.”

I lived in Hampstead briefly 30 years ago. I liked the town. I certainly would not wish Metzler on them, but they picked him, so they’re stuck with that. I doubt the taxpayers will like the results.
