Let’s solve three problems at once. Both the US and Hong Kong have been seeing protest movements recently. Maybe by taking a look at both groups of protesters the governments could learn to work together peacefully to solve a mutual issue. What an idea.
Hong Kong
China is crushing Hong Kong. The mainland Chinese Communist Party, a dictatorship, is moving to suppress all freedom and associated protests. There the Chinese police are the aggressors. The violence has government initiation. It is all about control; absolute control.
In Hong Kong the people are protesting in the streets. But the protesters have mostly maintained a peaceful environment. They do fight back against the police when they have had to. The police don’t actually care about not hurting them.
The U.S.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York and other parts of the America things are different. We have rampant looting, robbing and burning by Marxist leftists. The violence is indiscriminate. There is no respect for the property of others. The leftists are lashing out against the people who live in their communities. They want to rule others by force not, they want Marxist tyranny.
The American rioters, looters and arsonists in Portland and elsewhere in America are acting out. Politicians and police are not responding with repression. Hell, they are standing by and watching the cities burn. The rioters in America are demonstrating to achieve a goal. They want to implement the communist dictatorship the Hong Kongers are fighting to throw off right now.
It is no coincidence the leaders of Black Lives Matter are self described Marxists. It is not an accident they have a convicted terrorist on their fundraising board. They are an international group we would do well to be rid of.
The solution
Why wouldn’t it be a good solution to two bad situations if we trade protesters? Those Americans who want to live under Chinese communist rule… let’s give them what they want. We send them to Hong Kong. They should fit right into the Chinese Marxist system. They will be happier there. We simply put them on a boat and send them to Hong Kong. And then we cancel their American passports.
So the trade is fair, we accept the protesters from Hong Kong who want to come here. The protesters from Hong Kong can be vetted. They like what America has to offer. It will likely take very little time for them to assimilate and begin to take root and prosper. The group is educated, industrious and motivated to build a better life. They would fit right in with American values and principles.
As a side benefit perhaps the nations, America and China, each might benefit from the cooperative effort. Problem solving does not have to be costly, painful or involve violence. Let’s solve three problems at once. Seems like a win-win-win. Yea team go… It makes at least as much sense as “Washington Football Team.” But that’s another rant…
