I’m not sure why this lesson is never learned. I guess it’s just history that no longer exists because if history WAS studied, nobody would EVER let them near the levers of Power ever again. The Soviet Union never learned the lesson, neither did Cuba (mostly), and Venezuela refused to learn from its own history as it used to be one of the richest countries in South America. Communist China has – to a degree but the Party is trying hard to keep a lock on everything else.
It’s not working according to The Plan.
And never will.
