PETA has a bone to pick with Caldwell Idaho. It seems they have themselves a Chicken Dinner Road. PETA finds this name offensive to “chickens as individuals.”

“Just like dogs, cats, and human beings, chickens feel pain and fear and value their own lives,” PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman wrote in her letter to Mayor Garret Nancolas, adding that it should be “one that celebrates chickens as individuals, not as beings to kill, chop up, and label as ‘dinner.’”
The mayor of Caldwell channeled Grumpy Cat in the best possible way.

There’s some local history related to the name if you are interested. And it sounds delicious.
As for PETA, well, I think there’s more than one Chicken Dinner Road for them to cross if they are committed to getting to the other side of this “injustice.”
