2012 Ilhan Omar Tweet: “why don’t we deport you to where ever you came from”

Telling people to go back where they came from is not new. And it’s not necessarily racist or xenophobic. Especially if you happen to be a member of a protected identity politics victim class.

Ilhan Omar is such a person. This current member of Congress praises strange things but America, not so much.

Mr. Trump, in responding to these attacks and these individuals (who appear to hate their own country), has encouraged them to leave if they don’t like it.

“Our Country is Free, Beautiful and Very Successful. If you hate our Country, or if you are not happy here, you can leave!”

I hear Canada’s a popular planned destination even though no Leftist ever leaves to go there.

Oh, Look A Tweet!

Tide-Pod Squad member Ilhan Omar, who has been at the center of these exchanges, has said something similar.

She’s correct. We don’t deport citizens. But it is inconvenient that she’s said the exact same thing to people who appear to disagree with her about something.

As for President Trump, he is not backing down (does he ever?). And there’s no reason he should. Saying America is great, and expressing love for the country and the people, while chastising those who admonish it and smear it, plays well into his original campaign theme and the tenor of his entire presidency.

Defend the nation from all haters, foreign and domestic and tie the Democrat party to them. It sounds like a good strategy to me. And Democrats keep doing and saying things that prove him right.
