Hawaii State Senate Wants Congress to Repeal the Second Amendment

The Hawaii State Senate wants the US Congress to consider repealing the second amendment. Well, at least they are honest about it.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States Congress is requested to consider and discuss whether the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution should be repealed or amended to clarify that the right to bear arms is a collective, rather than individual, constitutional right;

That’s taken directly from Hawaii State Senate Concurrent Resolution 42.

WHEREAS, under this Individual right theory, the United States Constitution restricts legislative bodies from prohibiting firearm possession, or at the very least, the Second Amendment renders prohibitory and restrictive regulation presumptively unconstitutional;

The Resolution gives a clear understanding of the left’s opinion and to their credit, this is what we might call a legitimate and legal process by which the Democrat’s would use the government to forcibly disarm everyone.

WHEREAS, under this collective rights theory”, the Second Amendment asserts that United States citizens do not have an individual right to possess guns and that local, state, and federal legislative bodies possess the authority to regulate firearms without implicating a constitutional right

The British wanted to enforce a rule where only the government had guns. Look what happened after that.
