Other than Spike Lee’s tone-deaf anti-Trump rant there wasn’t much “political” in this years Oscars. No, I don’t watch them. I read about it later. And there isn’t much to report. We’ve got Lee’s moral choice between love and hate virtue-signaling which is more than just empty rhetoric. He’s got some racial baggage. Larry Elder rolled it out for him.
"Make the moral choice between love vs hate."
–Spike LeeLee once said he dislikes "interracial couples"; criticized whites moving to Harlem; suggested that .W "blew up" levees; said NRA's Heston "should be shot"; called Sen. Lott a "straight-up" Klansman!!#Chutzpah#Oscars

Spike Lee’s not the best spokesperson for that narrative but I don’t think anyone consulted on it.
Mr. Trump also took a turn at the clueless tone-deaf lives in a Liberal Hollywood echo-chamber Spike Lee.
Be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts, etc.) than almost any other Pres!

That racist white president has done more for African Americans. A lot more. Certainly more than his half-cracker predecessor. But as the title indicates, that’s not why we’re here.
Dana Loesch wins the award for the best ‘gentle’ takedown of an empty-thoughtless remark by a clueless Hollywood Oscar Awards presenter with this.
In response to the ABC News Tweet, “There are no borders or walls that can restrain ingenuity and talent,” Javier Bardem says in Spanish as he introduces the Best Foreign Language Film category,” Dana replied,
To be fair, I assume this excludes the one around the ceremony itself, the fencing and checkpoints manned by armed security, separating celebrities from the riff raff. https://t.co/x3cC3L59lk

Security for the luxury class was significant. Complete with walls, fences, barry-cades, and armed guards, naturally. All safe in their expensive clothes, coddling each other’s egos and secretly hating everyone around them.
Poor things.
