Quick Shot: Reminder for Public Transit Rail Junkies – Your Fix Never Gets Less Expensive

Commuter rail for New Hampshire is probably one the stupidest ideas on which the left will not give up. There is no sensible application but one. Help New Hampshire residents leave the Granite State to work in Massachusettes.

It has no practical application for us. Most of the state lives nowhere near it. Will never use it. Would have to drive a good distance already to “take advantage” of it. Rail is a boutique issue. A Vanity project – an undertaking that will never make money and never get any cheaper.

Down in Boston, where it actually makes sense to have a commuter rail system, they blow through money like a drunken sailor. It’s a massive corrupt bureaucracy. How could it not?

They’ve just asked for another rate increase. A 6.3 percent fare hike. This moderate increase will extract another 32 million a year from the pockets of riders in and around the city of Boston. A necessary evil of corpulence. One that New Hampshire would come to know and not so much love.
