Susan Collins does not often get any ‘ink’ on these pages for making a cogent case in the defense of much of anything she does in Washington but this is an exception.
No, it is not simply because she is voting the way we would prefer on Judge Kavanaugh. It is that she has stepped up to remark on this confirmation process and the Democrats’ destructive tactics.
She’s got some very smart things to say and if you can find the time you should listen to her remarks. She’s also got some surprising things to say, like how Kavanaugh and Merrick Garland, while serving together, voted the same way 93% of the time. Take that, everyone!
