House Votes on HB628 Today – NH’s Obama-Care Mini-Me Mandate [Updated]

Update: The House did not get to HB628 today. That means the vote is tomorrow. It also means you have another opportunity to reach out (politely) to your reps about this awful, terrible, legislation.

HB628 has changed, but it’s still a lousy bill. And the New Hampshire House is voting on it (again) today. Take a moment to tweak your rep. Adding another bureaucratic headache–in the form of a mini-me ObamaCare-esque Insurance mandate–is not going to add jobs or attract young people because it will ultimately scare off job creators and raise costs for those already here.

Those costs will impact job creation and wage growth.

HB628 is terrible for New Hampshire, and if they strip the amendment out, it becomes a tax on income. Whichever is worse hardly matters the bill needs to die.
