Governor Chris Sununu Statement on Confirmation of Frank Edelblut as Commissioner of the Department of Education

Concord, NH – Following today’s Executive Council vote to confirm Frank Edelblut as Commissioner of the Department of Education, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement:

“I am thrilled today that the Executive Council has confirmed Frank Edelblut as New Hampshire’s new Commissioner of the Department of Education,” Governor Chris Sununu said. “Frank will do an outstanding job and will work tirelessly to improve our state system by implementing a 21st century education and preparing students to enter into an increasingly-competitive global workforce.”

Commissioner Edelblut said of his confirmation, “I am honored to have an opportunity to serve the State of New Hampshire in this role and I am excited to begin working closely with Governor Sununu, members of the State Board of Education and teachers and administrators across the state to find ways to provide students and families the best education possible.”
