NH House Democrat Accidentally Harpoons ObamaCare?

Obamacare_Chart_jpegThe New Hampshire Legislature is considering changes regarding who should decide which vaccines a child must have before attending public school. HB361 would move some decision-making authority from Health and Human Services and give it to the legislature. But that’s not what caught my attention.

“Is it your contention that the process of (people) in this room, with a number of individuals of varied backgrounds, listening to testimony, are more likely to perform a good ration, evidence-based scientific decision than a group of trained epidemiologists and physicians?” asked Rep. Jerry Knirk, a physician and Democrat from Freedom.

I’m sure Jerry believes that unelected bureaucrats in state agencies should not have to answer to the elected legislature. But it also sounds like this Democrat doesn’t want politicians making decisions about people’s “health care.”

I might be overthinking it, but that’s what it looks like to me.
