Wonder Woman: Sword-Wielding Bad-Ass

The Comi-Con trailer for the Movie reimaging of Wonder Woman is out. I did not see her in Batman v. Superman yet so perhaps this is old news but this iteration has the suitably attractive former Miss Israel Gal Gadot portraying the Amazonian Princess as a shield-bashing, rope wrapping, sword-wielding bad-ass circa WWI.

I admit the trailer was fun to watch. I’m also, and perhaps I am alone on this, not put off by the muted colors of the outfit–which are a bit brighter than the image above but not the shiny “spandexy” sheen of eld. This fits the entire palate of the movie, which appears drab and dirty except for–as far as I can tell from this teaser–Themyscira (Paradise Island).
