You’ve probably heard about it. Donald Trump gave a prepared speech that tore into Hillary Clinton in ways that had Senate Republicans scrambling for their communications directors. What do we say? How do we respond?
Typically, this is the sort of thing Democrat surrogates do for their favored candidates. Let the monied NGO’s and the Media let loose the dogs of war so we work the narrative without ever getting out delicate fingers dirty. Trump doesn’t feel the need to delegate that and it is exactly the sort of thing we thought we could expect with Trump as the Nominee.
There is a lot of red meat for supporters and plenty more for folks on the sidelines who know in their hearts that Hillary is a crook and a liar but would never say it out loud. Even his detractors will find themselves smiling at some of these remarks, and go ahead and smile. Hillary deserves every bit of it of and more, and not only do you know it, you want to hear it from a Republican even if you hate the guy.
