Erasing the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) is the mission of 21st century Climate Clerics because it ruins their thesis. The new narrative is that the MWP was the result of temperature readings in England, not around the world, but this is incorrect.

(b) is based on temperatures in central England, the tree limit in the White Mountains of California, and oxygen isotope measurements in the Greenland ice (W. Dansgaard of the Geophysical Isotope Laboratory, University of Copenhagen, pers. comm.), with the temperature scale set by the variations in the last 100 years.
In 1990 the IPCC used the graph above, created by none other than James Hansen, which still included the MWP.
The WMP destroys the argument that man-made CO2 is responsible for similar warming, but if you repeat a lie often enough and long enough, people forget the truth.
