It’s a crisis, so you know the shtick. Obama is headed to Roseburg, Oregon. Time to stand on more dead bodies to advance his agenda. Doesn’t matter what the agenda is, just that it is Obama’s and this is a crisis, and he doesn’t let those go to waste.
Some folks in Roseburg know the shtick, and they’d rather he stay away, not that they can stop him. But they can speak out, and some have, including a father of one of the victims (link) and the editor of a local paper (video). And they make a good case. Obama has no connection to the town, the college, or the people. but he does have a connection to the politics, and it is clear from his own words that this is political. They’d rather not have that. They’d prefer he just stay away.
