Planned Parenthood’s ‘Pink Out’ Rally in Concord was more of a ‘flop out’

pptotalLast night Planned Parenthood of New England’s ‘Pink Out’ rally was held in Concord. It was a national event to show support for the organization across the country. The event was held at the New Hampshire State House on the plaza at 8:00 pm in the evening. It was almost eerily reminiscent of Halloween.

The plaza was adorned with lighted electric pink candles and Planned Parenthood was handing out pink glow sticks. A group of people also held up a #StandWithPP lighted pink sign at the beginning of the rally. In a bit of irony, there were church bells ringing at the same time.

Given the outrage that both Democrats and Planned Parenthood often scream about when it comes to anyone opposing the organization, one would have expected the plaza to be overflowing with hundreds of Granite Staters on a Tuesday night. The event had less attendees than the ‘Women Betrayed’ pro-life rally held over a month ago during the middle of the day.

feltes

New Hampshire Senator Dan Feltes was there and spoke about women’s rights. Interesting that he voted against actual women’s rights when he voted against restoring women’s rights during the fight for Senate Bill 116. He was the only senator in attendance. Executive Councilor Colin Van Ostern also spoke while donning his pink dress shirt in support of Planned Parenthood. These were the only two representatives in attendance. The fact that zero women senators or representatives spoke was glaring.

There was a woman who talked about fighting to infringe upon the First Amendment when she fought for the ‘Buffer Zone bill.’ This bill was similar to the oneshot down by the Supreme Court of the United States in Massachusetts that would have banned people from using the public sidewalks around any Planned Parenthood or abortion facility from protesting or holding vigils.

bouchard

Former New Hampshire State Representative Candice Bouchard, who now sits on the Concord City Council, claimed that those who want to defund Planned Parenthood are “extremists” and that the videos that came out about Planned Parenthood harvesting human baby body parts were lies. Bouchard must have missed the memo that the head of the organization, Cecile Richards, has already admitted that Planned Parenthood indeed sells harvested organs from aborted fetuses.

Before the event began NH1 was interviewing a woman who claimed she is a volunteer for Planned Parenthood. She was making the statement that since the Executive Council defunded the organization by over $600,000 dollars (this is over a two year period), they’ve had to cut down on hours and it’s really affected the organization.

Interesting that this is the same organization that spends over $1 million on lobbying but can’t afford to help the women they claim they care about with $27 per year. That’s what the defunding of Planned Parenthood amounts to – $2/month or $27 per year per woman based on their own math.

While most people in attendance held manufactured signs, there were some who also held homemade signs. One woman held a sign that read “No woman can call herself free who does not own and control her own body.” When asked how she felt about Obamacare since it didn’t allow women to control their own health care choices, she responded that she didn’t want to get “political.” Apparently she didn’t realize that holding a sign at a political rally that wreaks of politics is political.

There were also protesters in attendance from the New Hampshire Right to Life organization. They were in the front of the state house on the main road so they could spread their message. They held signs and were respectful, even when some who drove by and supported Planned Parenthood were not. One lone woman towards the end of the rally came up to the plaza and held a sign that said “Baby Lives Matter! Love Them!”

All in all the protest was uneventful; poorly attended and lacked any visual female support from state representatives or senators. The speakers were passionate yet spoke about so much that isn’t true. One even mentioned how Obamacare now provides free birth control which is simply another reason for defunding Planned Parenthood. Taxpayers are already subsidizing Obamacare and the same women who are eligible for this health insurance are the women who previously used Planned Parenthood.

Given New Hampshire Democrats’ claim that thousands of women will “suffer” with the defunding of Planned Parenthood, one would think hordes of women would have been in attendance. In the video you’ll see what is typical “union chanting behavior” which shows the paid activists that are in attendance. Both Planned Parenthood and Democrats feign there is massive support for the organization in the state, yet the “Pink Out” rally proved otherwise and was more of a “flop out.”

You can watch a video here of the creepy union-like chanting brought on by a paid hacktivist:
