Chile experienced another earthquake yesterday afternoon, this one an 8.3. Three deaths have been reported. There have been five aftershocks all above 6.0. Tsunami advisories have been issued all over the Pacific, including Kah-lee-four-knee-ya.
They get a lot of earthquakes in Chile as the Nazca plate travels under the South American plate at a rate of 71 to 74 mm/ year.
