For your entertainment, (and since it has been mentioned already by Skip), my first post is my Letter to the Editor at Cook’s Illustrated. Those of you who like to dabble in cooking might be familiar with the beautifully illustrated and informative magazine. (For your reference, I’ve attached the Editorial which my letter references.) Here I go:

To the Editor:
With great anticipation, I looked forward to reading the October edition of Cook’s Illustrated. What better way to indulge in my ‘foodiness’ and escape reality by exploring seventeen different ways to make a baguette, or ten old-fashioned ways to boil eggs!
Well, after reading your “Mother Dearest” editorial I simply had to stop and congratulate you on its utter brilliance. The ode to your Mother really spoke to the love of food, and I am in awe of the way you slipped in such a succinct synopsis of the liberal elite’s doctrine in the process! It is a miracle how you were able to blend socialism, Haagen Dazs, and pickled cow’s tongue in one beautiful mélange.
Mmmm, good!
So I wish to extend to you a very heartfelt thank you for saving me BOTH my dollars and my time. I am forever satisfied by this single epistle—how could you top this one?–and need never to purchase this magazine again. You liberals rock! ;^)
Sincerely,
Kimberly Gilbert
