I never did take the Lambert campaign to task for their TV ad attacking Marilinda Garcia. The ad is awful. Worse than the mailer. And while I have no problem with attack ads that base their points of facts, this ad bases it on things that the Lawyer Gary Lambert, should know would never hold up in court. But that is not why I am writing about the Lambert campaign today. I have a different bone to pick.
It has come to my attention that Colonel Lambert might be letting people assume he was a combat vet.
He isn’t saying he is, he’s just not saying he was not. He was not. He was a lawyer.
If there is some nugget of evidence someplace where Mr. Lambert has gone on the record during the campaign as to his relationship with combat–none, then by all means send it our way. Until then, if we add this to the latest outrage over the negative attack ads and dishonest mailers, it appears that Mr. Lambert is letting people think something else that is not true; that he will be a different kind of politician if primary voters in CD 2 pick him to be their candidate for a gig in Washington, D.C.
