Last week, when we thought casino gambling in NH was dead for the year–it always comes back–it wasn’t dead yet. The NH House vote on SB 366 was taken at the end of the day and no motion to reconsider could be offered…until the House met again.
They met, the motion to revive the casino gambling bill was made, and it failed, 172-192. (Hat tip to Aaron Day from the RLCNH for that update.)
The bill originated in the NH Senate, from two Democrats, but passed the Republican dominated chamber 15-9 with the help of 7 Republicans; Boutin, Bragdon, Carson, Cataldo, Morse, and Rausch.
