Thanks For The Deaths And Resignations…

I have always considered the word “thanks,” unless presented with sarcasm as if to say “well, thanks a lot,” to have a positive connotation, until now.

Kevin Landrigan

CONCORD – Thanks to deaths and resignations, the 400-member House of Representatives is down to 388 strong.

Then there is the awkward,  “down to 388 Strong.”

I know.  I strangle the language every day to make a point, but I didn’t go to J-school or take communications.   I am not a paid reporter.  I do not have a paid editor.  And I understand exactly how Kevin managed to put this sentence together.  It happens.

Thanks to Susan Olsen, who posted the link on Facebook.
