Palate Cleanser – Top Puppy Names for 2013

lab pupppyHere’s something you’ll do next to nothing with.  The top four names for girl-dogs, for the eighth straight year in a row (no crooked years were included) are Bella, Daisy, Lucy, and Molly.    I have included the list for both most popular boy and girl dog names, top 50 for each, for 2013.  The list was compiled from a database of 925,000 names from vetstreet.com.

I didn’t name either of my dogs, they do have names–I just did not choose them, but it has long been my opinion that a Dickensian approach is not unwarranted.  If I had my druthers with regard to naming conventions for pooches my top 3 would be Kirby, Dyson, and Hoover.  For the girls, there is always Bissell, Eureka and Elecrtrolux.  Rainbow or Oreck might also serve in a pinch the former for a girl, the latter a boy.  Or not.

The graphic with the list of top 50 names for either gender of doggie is on the jump.
