NH Criminal Justice & Safety Committee Meeting on License Plate Readers Part II (Updated)

The last time we posted video from this committee was right after the committee chair, Democrat Laura Pantelakos announced that She did not care about protecting people’s liberty.”

At some point someone sent the video for the seven minutes that followed her remark to everyone in the legislature.  When the committee met again, naturally, the discussion (still debating the bill to authorize license plate readers in NH HB675) got a little ‘interesting.’

Here’s the followup.

UPDATE: FYI- The committee Voted 10-7 to support HB 675 and if you missed it, while Democrat Laura Pantelakos is in favor of license plate surveillance for all she is not all that happy about committee meeting surveillance of her.

The bill will go to the House Floor with a recommendation to pass it.  There will be a floor fight.  Be prepared to inform you reps that HB675 is just another camels nose under the tent and empowers more spying on private citizens.  It is also less effective and more expensive than the old way, believe it or not.
