Breaking News: Democrat Controlled NH House Votes to Vote on a Bill Without Seeing It (Updated)

I have amended my original post based of new information…(subject to further amendment as fresh information becomes available)

The NH House is in special session to address the issue of expanded medicaid: they have a bill  right there.  (There was some confusion about whether it existed or was complete)

But… no one has been given time to read it, so there was a motion to wait until representatives could read it before voting on it.

The Democrat majority house voted 187 to 136 to not wait for everyone to read the bill before voting.

They want to pass it so we can see what is in it. (The bill has been referred to Finance and will have a public hearing on November 12th;  That’s 11-12-13, for those who care.)

On a positive note, there was a Roll Call vote, so you will be able to see the name of every legislator who figured it’d be OK to saddle you with all the luggage, and the costs to go with it, without your reps ever having had time to read what they were being asked to vote on.

That will be a very useful list to have come election time.
