Another Facebook status update from NH US Senator Jeanne Shaheen. This one asks you to sign a petition to restore the voting rights act. Here’s what I had to say about that.
All NH Senator Shaheen has to do is prove that there is vote suppression if she wants to turn back the clock–which should be interesting since voter ID increases minority turn out. I look forward to hearing her make a case more extensive than a misleading Facebook post. I don’t expect her to make one, but I look forward to it, particularly since parts of NH are subject to the act.
Seems a bit hypocritical coming from a woman whose own state party abuses our domicile laws and encourages out of state voters (anyone alive or dead, actually) to erase the votes of actual residents–a very real form of vote suppression-just so Democrats like Shaheen can regurgitate the party line from inside the DC bubble, where she can wander in an idealistic fantasy world constructed for her by the Democrat party and the trillion dollar bureaucracy.
