ESPN reports that the New England Patriots have picked up Tim Tebow.
I think Tebow is a good prospect for an offense that thrives on players who can perform in multiple rolls. Tebow can run well, catch, and passes better than most other utility players who might be asked to throw the ball down-field or handle it like a quarterback from another position. The mere presence of such a player changes the dynamics and creates other opportunities for Brady and company, which is why, while he is supposed to report to mini-camp as a quarterback, I expect he’ll have a much more complex role in this offense.
After being with that circus known as the New York Jets, this will feel like being allowed to move up to the Grown-up table at Thanksgiving.
