Ovide Lamontagne and Maggie Hassan will battle it out for governor. A number of RTW RINO’s were sent packing. A few RINO’s survived. And if the primary vote for governor is any indication overall voter enthusiasm is significantly tilted toward the Republican parties favor.
Over 100,000 voters pulled GOP ballots, with only about 79,000 pulling the democrat primary ballot. Given the number of independents we can safety say that they were more interested in who would be running as governor from the Republican camp than from the tiny tent on the left. Is it enough to make Democrats worry?

Up in Coos, Leon Rideout sent the RINO Bill Remick packing. Josh Youssef won his primary for a shot at the NH State Senate. Bob Burns has a slight lead in the Executive Council 4 race, but that’s destined for a recount and too close to call.
(Update- Forgot to point out that Andy Sanborn won his Senate seat primary in District 9…with 61% of the vote.)
(Update-update) Granite Grok’s Susan Olsen also won here House race- Congrats!)
Jane Cormier beat RINO Peter Bolster with 68% of the vote.
Incumbent (RINO) Russel Day (Hills 6) also got the boot.
Peter Bragdon survived (and survived well) his challenge from Dan Dwyer for State Senate. Dwyer dominated Merrimack, but little else.
John Reagan holds a slight lead in State Senate Dist 17; I expect a recount there.
In State Senate Dist 23 Russel Prescott easily beat Denis Acton with 77% of the vote.
And Merrimack’s Kathy Stroud…survived by 1%, clinging to her seat by 141 votes. (I bet that doesn’t send any kind of message).
