GM will halt production on the Chevy Volt for a month, idling the plant from September 17th to Octber 15th, according to USA Today. No one is willing to speculate on why, but I think I can clear it up.
The car is a piece of crap.
It costs too much. It doesn’t deliver on any of its lofty left wing promises, and even if you get pie eyed you still have to charge it forever just to travel a whopping 38 miles before charging it again.
You are not freed from the gas pump while being tied to an extension cord.
Yeah, I want to pay $40,000.00 for that experience.
It is this kind of “innovation” that caused the Soviet Union to collapse.
