I saw a message on Facebook this week, for a fellow running for State Representative in my hometown of Milford. I’ve known Andy Seale for a few years, had beers once or twice after political events, nice guy, Scout leader, active Republican, engaged Milford GOP chair.
I also found out, just a few weeks ago, that he’s a member of the Nashua Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee (Treasurer).
Now, if you know me, or have been following GraniteGrok recently, you’ll know that there’s a growing movement against the RPCs and their nefarious ways, due to their tendency of following methodologies that aim to impede individual liberties, through ever-increasing restrictions on private property, under the unconstitutional, watchful eye (and bankroll) of the federal government. A lot has been written lately about this subject (here) (here) (here) (here), and MUCH more will be written in the coming weeks and months (please stay tuned to this channel).
I have one, simple question for Andy:
How can you declare yourself a “Republican who believes in limited government, individual freedom” and be “concerned with excessive regulation that hurts small businesses“, while serving at the executive level of an organization that has proven to do the very opposite, and plans to do even more?
I understand that you are an “avid sportsman” (as am I, hiking and camping Southern NH and the Whites regularly) and you want to “support New Hampshire’s natural beauty“; that’s all well and good – we have a beautiful state that I absolutely love.
But, Andy, please tell me you see yourself as a lone, conservative voice in the wilderness of left-leaning “green-heads”, trying to curtail, corral, and balance their insidious, socialist-bent, utopian philosophies?
In the back of my mind, I’m hoping that as I (and fellow bloggers) write more about the damage that RPCs are doing to our state (and are doing to other states), you MIGHT, just maybe, see this situation in a new light.
If not then, neighbor, we may have to politically write you off.
We’re open for input.
