From the Desk of two for one, we have reports that some of the “protesters” showing up at Romney events are getting paid to heckle the candidate. Now I have no problem with that. People need jobs, and it is nice to see the union spending its money (maybe even our money) on the legal act of protest, just as long as they are filing out the proper state and federal forms I say go team Marx.
Let’s just be clear that this is AstroTurf™. And let us also admire (perhaps ‘bask’ is a better word) in the inconvenient hypocrisy resulting from the unveiling of another case of faux-protest, plastic-grass, left wing activism with an income inequality twist. Apparently the left wing protesters who admitted to being paid to disrupt the Romney event are receiving substantially different sums of compensation.
Neither of the representatives agreed to give their names, but two protesters said they were getting paid to stand outside for the rally, though the wage is unclear: one said she was getting $7.25 per hour, while another man said they were being paid $17 per hour.
From Markay: (c/o Hot Air) A woman protester’s getting $7.25 an hour while a man’s getting $17? Pay discrimination is a terrible thing, my friends.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the Democrat talking-points screed-harpies on New Hampshire own AstroTurf™ payrolls to drop their taxpayer funded Utopia Brand™ condoms or their Republican War On Women® palm cards long enough to call out this blatant abuse of women’s rights by their own. They’ll be too busy denying it ever happened,. But coming from the likes of New Hampshire’s own out of state paid astroturfing activists, paid hacks like Zandra Hawkins (ProgressNow), Mo Baxley (formerly funded by wealthy NYC Gay Issues advocates) and Sarah Chaisson Warner (USA Action), it wouldn’t mean much anyway. Paid AstroTurf™ will defend the paid AstroTurf™ every day of the week.
And don’t count on Senator Shaheen to make a peep. The last time we heard from her on AstroTurf™ was when she “expressed a concern about whether 501(c)(4) groups are engaging in any campaign activity which (according to the Senators) is expressly prohibited by their 501 (c)(4) status.” I pointed out that there were some very specific examples of that right here in New Hampshire, and they were liberal progressive AstroTurf™ to boot. I have not heard anything about it since then and I am not surprised.
So I would expect the lefts well documented income inequality screed hypocrisy to continue here as it has elsewhere, unchallenged by Democrat women. I’m sure they are stressing out about it in silence so just send them some condom to ease their pain. As I understand it condoms are critical to a woman’s health, and mental health coverage is most certainly included.
