How topical: NH Law being voted out of committee on Thursday on this very issue

by

There are good cops and bad cops. The bad ones don’t like you recording what they’re doing…especially when they’re breaking the law or abusing their power. So they give you an illegal order, thus further abusing their power: They should be fired.

Meanwhile, in the Free State of New Hampshire… This from The RLCNH Report:

Criminal Justice Committee (email the committee)

Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, the Criminal Justice Committee will vote on HB145, which would permit the audio and video recording of any public official while in the course of his or her official duties. This bill is important to allow the People to be a check on government officials, including law enforcement, and to avoid abuse of power. Email HouseCriminalJusticeandPublicSafety@leg.state.nh.us to voice your support of this bill.
