The GOP Civil War, Part Deux

Hip, hip, HOORAY! Joe Miller pulls it out in the Alaska senatorial primary against the chosen (and some say corrupt) choice of the hacks at the Republican National Senatorial Campaign Committee (NSRC) led by Mitch McConnell.

The civil war going on right now within the Republican Party is good for us. "Why?" you ask?

Because the foundational principles of the Republican Party have been repeatedly traduced by "fake Republicans," aka "RINO’s" (Republican In Name Only) who run as Republicans, and then vote with the political/government/ruling class that they actually support. That’s why so very many Republicans end up stabbing the GOP in the back, often at the most opportune time to do the most damage.

Remember Sen. Jim Jeffords from Vermont? In 2000, after George W. Bush won the presidency and had a bare, 1-seat majority in the U.S. Senate, Jeffords—scum that he was (and presumably still is)—switched to the Democrats, saying publicly that he was sure that George W. Bush would be "a one-term President." Screw you, Jeffords, and all who supported you.

Remember Dede Scozzafava in New York’s CD-23 more recently? Picked by the local political class GOP hacks, she was challenged by the popular Doug Hoffman, and was going to defeat her in the primary. What did she do? Why, end her candidacy and endorse the Democrat…thus giving the seat to the Democrats. Screw you, Dede, and all the local Republicans who stupidly supported you.

Remember Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania? In 2004 the wonderful Pat Toomey was about to defeat Specter in the GOP primary. President George W. Bush and other members of his political team out of Washington, DC endorsed Specter in the primary over Toomey, and even came into Pennsylvania during the primary to campaign for Spector, who pulled out a win over Toomey by about 1%. Now, six years later, Toomey was again poised to beat Specter in the GOP primary. So what does Specter do? He switches over to being a Democrat (not that he wasn’t one all along), so that he can keep his power (which is all that matters to such scum…errr…people). Too bad, Arlen! So sad! Joe Sestak handily polished him off in the Democratic primary (and is now poised to lose to Toomey in the general election). Screw you, Specter, and the Republicans who continued to support you even after it had become clear that you were a RINO.

Oh, I can go on and on and on. The currently raging Republican Civil War is a positive cleansing action. Of course, the Democrats and other socialists, statists and regressives (which are "progressives" correctly identified) are always present to say "you must become more inclusive! That’s the way you win elections!" B.S. Traditional, fundamental Republican principles ARE inclusive. To the extent that the political hacks cause the party to move away from them, the party weakens itself and LOSES elections. That’s how the GOP came to its abysmally low point among the American public by the end of the George W. Bush presidency. Like his father, he ran as a conserrvative. The American people voted for him, because that’s what he said he would be. It was a false promise, and it happens all the time. But it’s not going to happen this year with Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Ken Buck, Joe Miller, Sharron Angle, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee, to name just a vew. Along with Sens. Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn, and David Vitter, they are part of an emerging GOP Senate revolution. They are the GOP’s future senatorial leadership. And they will be far more effective, not to say honest, than their ideologically corrupt predecessors.
