While we cannot get at Barack Obama or his socialist comrades infesting Congress for another year, there are a few elections coming this week that will certainly give citizens an opportunity to show some big government-loving liberals the door, be it at the local, state, or national level…

ROLAND MAHEU. Many people agree that America’s civil decline, ignorance of the Constitution, and thus, loss of liberty, starts in the government schools. Movement Conservatives know they must engage in the battle for the hearts and minds in the school systems, and work for a return to understanding of the values and foundational principles that made this Nation great. Former Laconia City Councilor Roland Mahue, local businessman and former teacher and administrator, has stepped up and decided to make a run for that city’s Ward 6 school board seat. Despite the realities of the present economic times, and the existence of a tax cap, the big spenders and cheerleaders of the educational-industrial complex have dreams of closing the existing centrally-located high school and moving it to the far outskirts of town. Aside from adding additional busing costs, the larger question is whether it really fixes what’s broke? Roland will be instudio and looks forward to taking calls at 603 527 1490. We’ll ask him about all the federal bucks falling from Heaven, and the supplemental appropriation process and whether it has the effect of circumventing the tax cap.

Andy Sanborn wowed ’em at the recent "tax summit" held by NH’s Democrat "leaders" with his detailed description of all the taxes a small business owner here in the Granite State must pay (video here). Joining us in the studio, we’ll discuss the list of taxes, and why it is paramount a line in the sand must be drawn against any more. We’ll get his overall take of the summit and we’ll review (again) the importance of the so-called NH Advantage. We’ll look at creeping OVER-regulation overtaking the state used as a means to raise more revenue WITHOUT legislative approval– Labor, Liquor, etc, and how its stifling business activity and causing further harm like pushing the under-eighteen demographic from the job market. Most likely we’ll chat the NY-23 House race and whether former NHGOP Chair Fergus Cullen is correct in using it in his Union Leader column as an example of the "civil war" in the Republican Party between conservatives and the not-so conservatives…

Not Evil, Just Wrong is the movie Al Gore and his ilk wish had never been made. After viewing it at the premier thanks to our friends at the Josiah Bartlett Center, (and Andy Sanborn & The Draft) one can see why. Is this the beginning of the end for the radical global warming movement? New polling shows people are starting to wake up on this issue. Hopefully…

Lynne Blankenbeker. One of the races Fergus laments about in the aforementioned column is the special election for a NH House seat in Concord. According to him, the big bad mean conservatives chased away a perfectly acceptable RINO from Party under the threat of a serious primary challenge, forcing him to instead switch parties. The culpable (in Fergus’ view) conservative upstart, Lynne Blankenbeker, will join us to discuss Tuesday’s election, where she hopes to defeat former Concord Mayor (and, now, FORMER Republican) Jim MacKay.
