Merrifield Wins. A victory for conservatism and tax caps

Ken Merrifield

Tammy Simmons of Manchester, writing on Facebook, puts it best:

67% of voters in Franklin re-elected the mayor who very openly supported their spending cap…..yet Keep Manchester Moving [and others, including a wrongheaded economist] would like Manchester voters to believe that the tax cap in Franklin has basically devastated that town. Sounds like the voters think differently!

Indeed. Having tried to stop a tax cap override by an errant city council to no avail, the voters have sent a clear message that they want that cap, and someone willing to go to the mat to defend it. I would also add that Ken Merrifield is an unabashed conservative, showing that espousing such principles and values really DOES win the day.

Message to Republicans (and Fergus Cullen, former chair and present moderate squish of the NHGOP):

THERE IS NO NEED TO MODERATE, OR SHIFT LEFTWARD!

Oh, one more thing– It probably doesn’t hurt to be a rock ‘n roll god, either… Cool
