In a formal statement released yesterday, our friends at Americans for Job Security (AJS) called on the two main architects of the disaster that is the current economic policy of our government to do the right thing. At the same time, they are inviting online visitors to view two ads they have prepared to run nationally on cable TV outlets, and giving them a chance to pick which one will get aired:
Washington, D.C.- Americans for Job Security will release two advertisements at 10:00 pm tonight highlighting Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Senator Christopher Dodd’s participation in the AIG bonus fiasco.
“Both Secretary Geithner and Senator Dodd went out of their way to create the AIG bonus loophole and it is increasingly clear they have the best interest of Wall Street financiers not the American taxpayers in mind,” said Stephen DeMaura President of Americans for Job Security.
Americans for Job Security is asking the American people to let their voice be heard and vote for which advertisement should be aired on cable nationally. People can vote at our website by clicking here. Voting begins tonight and will be open until March 26th.
“AJS calls on President Obama to replace Secretary Geithner and joins members of Connecticut’s media in calling for Senator Christopher Dodd to step aside as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee” said Stephen DeMaura President of Americans for Job Security.
Americans for Job Security is an independent, pro-business issue advocacy organization established in 1997 in order to promote issues that strengthen the American economy. For more information on Americans for Job Security visit their website at www.SaveJobs.org.
Here are the two ads, which we think are BOTH worthy of airing.
