A new introduction!

by

We like to take a moment to welcome a new guy to the ‘Grok -> Joey!  He’s coming up from down south so we’ll see a bit of a Texan flair around here soon.  He’s taking in the sights on his way up, but from what I can see of his writings, I think he may have well said it just fine himself with respect to his outlook on life compared to the ‘Grok’s:

I think we’re going to get along just fine, boys, just fine.

Anyways, a bit of info from the new scribbler on the ‘Grok! Welcome, Joey!

A Texan in Plymouth

Greetings from the Lone Star State! I will be joining my old and new friends in the Live Free or Die State sometime between Feb. 19 – 20, with plans to attend Plymouth State University and eventual plans of law school after that. Some folks from my area south of Dallas have already made the move to New Hampshire for a variety of reasons, so it will be neat to get acclimated to the freak weather and later, the political culture there.

I’m Joey. I’m currently the news editor for The Ellis County Press and publisher of The Ellis County Observer. While I’ve got a pretty extensive resume of journalism and political work, my focus and intent in New Hampshire is to start anew – new place, new people, new school, new life! I’ll be teaming up with friends and associates in the Americans For Prosperity organization and RightOnline.com, just to name a couple.

I look forward to meeting new friends who can point me in the right direction. It’s kinda neat going from Dallas to New Hampshire. To put this in perspective, whole counties are larger than NH. Dallas has more residents than New Hampshire has in its state. 🙂

Oh, and unlike George W. Bush, I’m actually from Texas, born and raised. So here’s looking towards the future. And someone needs to buy me a Samuel Adams. I’m going to guess that it’ll be either Skip or Doug! I took a trip to New Hampshire last year during spring break and had a great time, but I stopped drinking Bud Light when a friend introduced me to Sam. Wow. Amazing.

If anyone wants to "social network," feel free to do so at www.myspace.com/joeyNH or JoeyGDauben.com. I’m also on Facebook, Twitter, Praxo, YahSpace and every other networking site you can think of as well.

Seriously, though, I really look forward to playing alongside Skip and Doug. I’m excited about moving to the "Free State," but I’m more excited meeting new friends and associates.
