Erick Erickson is a co-founder and the current Editor-in-Chief of RedState.com, the largest conservative community online. Erick is a former lawyer specializing in corporate transactions and election law. In addition to his election practice, he has been a Republican political consultant for more than a decade heavily involved in federal, state, and local campaigns. We’ll pick his brains on a variety of topics, including why Obama isn’t some twenty or more points ahead of McCain in the polls, given the conventional wisdom we’ve been getting from the mainstream media that 2008 is a year for Democrats. We’ll also talk about his speach given at the RightOnline event encouraging bloggers to become activists, not just pundits.
-
Charlie Arlinghaus of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy wrote an excellent piece for the Union Leader about a subject that’s long held my interest: the wasteful concept of government-run trains and the subsidies thereof. As in my recent posting on the subject, Charlie questions whether NH can afford to be tossing money at passenger rail, given its historical lack of financial success. We’ll also discuss the latest woes in the ongoing disaster that is New Hampshire’s budget situation and, time permitting, he’ll tell us why NH should follow Sweden’s lead (yes, THAT Sweden!) in reforming education
-
Jeb Bradley, candidate for the GOP nomination here in NH’s 1st congressional district will join us in the studio to discuss what was behind Friday’s GraniteGrok endorsement and why he’s got a real shot at taking the seat back from Democrat Carol Shea porter. We’ll go down the list of reasons conservative Republicans should be comfortable supporting him for a rematch with the cider-sipping incumbent.
