While we normally don’t like to blow our own horn, we have been told on many occasions that when it comes to political blogs in the Granite State, the conservative GraniteGrok and its liberal counterpart, BlueHampshire are pretty much the two leaders of their respective Internet niches. We are pleased to welcome into our Saturday morning right-wing radio domain, the leader of the opposition at Blue Hampshire: Dean Barker! Yes indeed– he has been gracious enough to accept our invitation for a robust, yet polite, discussion of the issues. First we’ll discuss (briefly) "e-activism" and its present state and influence on politics. Will it engage more people and actually lure them to the voting booth come election day? Following that, we’ll talk about Shea Porter, Bradley, and Stephen in the 1st CD, with Hodes, and our favorite 2nd CD Republican (Dean’s too!), Grant Bosse. Then we’ll walk the Shaheen/Sununu minefield, which, should we get through, will lead us to some prez stuff- specifically, some Democrat Veep talk. Indeed– with GraniteGrok versus Blue Hampshire, it will be the Clash of the NH Blog Titans! Should be great sport… Dean and his collection of contributors have always been worthy adversaries in our minds– someone to always keep an eye on

Jeb Bradley phones in from the campaign trail. With the September 9th primary only a few short weeks away, the pace is nothing less than fast and furious. We’ll get an update. I plan on asking him about the Second Amendment, which could be in some jeopardy in the very near future, should the election go bad for the GOP. (Read the ‘Grok endorsement here.)

A. Paul Cellucci, former MA Gov. and Ambassador to Canada joins us to chat up energy and the economy— two areas where McCain should carry the day when compared to Obama.

Former Laconia Mayor Thomas A Tardif stops by the studio to discuss his candidacy for Belknap County Commissioner. Facing a well-known GOP insider and party boss in the September 9th primary, Tom is asking everybody in Laconia that wants an honest, open government that follows the rules and keeps its fiscal house in order to PLEASE turn out on Tuesday, September 9th and cast a vote on the Republican ballot for him. We’ll run down the list of troubles Tom has brought to light in the last couple of years, and his plans to increase citizen access and involvement in county government. Oh, and should we have time, there’s some new news regarding our ongoing Right to Know law case which reached a new milestone this past week.

Once again, NRO Senior Editor Ramesh Ponuru joins us to talk about the life issue. It has been in the news again this week, with new revelations of Senator Obama’s going to the mat to defeat a bill requiring life saving techniques applied to babies that survive an abortion. We’ll discuss his recent NRO post, Fathering more lies, Obama’s latest spin on ‘Born Alive’. We’ll also ask Ramesh to play the ‘veepstakes’ game with us as well. Mr. Ponuru is the author of The Party of Death.
