Nancy Pelosi releases statement on Ramadan:
WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 /U.S. Newswire/ — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today to commemorate the start of Ramadan, which began on Saturday:."Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, marks a time for inner reflection, devotion to God, and self-control for the more than 1 billion Muslims around the world. Wow! She really respects the "people of the book!" What did Pelosi have to say at Christmastime, I wondered. Last December 19th, Democratic leader Pelosi revealed how she would "worship" at Christmas:
"Mr. Speaker, as we leave for this Christmas recess, let us say, ‘God bless you’ to the American people by voting against this Republican budget and statement of injustice and immorality, and let us not let the special interest goose get fat at the expense of America’s children.."The gentleman from Washington, Mr. McDermott, quoted the prophet Isaiah. And as the bible teaches us, to minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship, to ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us. Let us vote no on this budget as an act of worship and for America’s children."
Hmmm. She "worships" at Christmas by voting "no" on Republican budgets and celebrates Ramadan by praising the religion that "worships" by the mass killings of innocent people… This is yet another example of why me must all hold our collective noses and vote for the Republican, no matter what in the upcoming congressional elections. "Speaker Pelosi." Can you imagine?
